Assalamu’Alaikum everyone! My name is Ginwan Ali and I am very honored and excited to serve as your MSA Vice President for this upcoming year, inshAllah! I hope that I will be able to serve you to the best of my ability and help all of you in any way that I can with the aid of the rest of the board and Allah (SWT). The MSA family made such a huge impact in my first semester at VT, and my goal is to maintain that sense of family, with new and old members. In my spare time I love to read, play soccer, hangout with friends and family, and go on spontaneous adventures. Feel free to hit me up at any time to talk or just hangout, I love meeting new people! Assalamu’alaikum wa rahmatu’Allahi wa barakatuh! My name is Ahmad Edrees and I am very excited to serve as the VTMSA Brothers’ Coordinator for 2017! My goal is to foster a welcoming, accepting, and inclusive environment within the MSA, specifically amongst the brothers. My main friend group here at Virginia Tech has been established through the MSA and I wish to provide that opportunity for others as well! I have a variety of interests such as watching and playing soccer, playing video games, and watching anime. Coming into college and meeting new people, I have also gotten into so many other things such as watching movies, reading books, freestyle rapping, and playing football and basketball, just to name a few. If you are reading this, I would love to meet up and have a chat! I am passionate about learning about people’s backgrounds, where they came from, and what their interests and hobbies are. Assalamu-Alaikum everyone! My name is Sanah Munshi and I am delighted to serve as your sisters’ coordinator for 2017. My journey throughout MSA has been amazing and I want to give back to the community. I want to be the voice of our sisters in MSA and help plan, organize and execute community building events. I want to strengthen the bonds between members of this organization and create a safe space for everyone. I am extremely honored to be holding this position and being a part of this eccentric community. I hope that we can continue building this community into a positive and loving environment for everyone. Assalaamu’Alaikum (May peace be with you all!) I’m thrilled to be the VT MSA Secretary for 2017! We have a lot of cool events planned for the year but we can’t be successful without the members, so get involved! One of our main goals is to really get the members more involved, so don’t hesitate to speak up and share your ideas! A little about me: Born in Alexandria, Virginia, but grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia. I’m a huge sports junky, mainly basketball and football (Go Wizards & #HTTR). My favorite color is navy blue and I love tropical areas. I also enjoy listening to music and overall I am a pretty chill person, so don’t hesitate to say what’s up if you see me around!

Assalamu’Alaikum everyone! I am very excited to serve as your MSA Historian and make this year very memorable inshAllah. If there was one thing I could say about the MSA at Virginia Tech is that everyone is family. Whether you need help in math, need help cooking, or just simply need someone to talk to there is always someone willing to help and be there for you. We have many events planned and I hope you all come out to them and get involved! A little bit about myself, I was born in Pakistan but have lived majority of my life in Springfield, Virginia. In my free time, I love to hang out with friends, play lacrosse, eat and watch movies. I also love meeting new people so if you ever see me around please feel free to say hi!
